Internship and Work Experience

During my studies in Spatial Design, I had the opportunity to intern at Layhgo, a leading decor construction company specializing in creating stunning environments for festivals. My internship at Layhgo was an unforgettable experience that not only enhanced my skills in decor design but also allowed me to immerse myself in the vibrant festival culture.

 

Throughout my time at Layhgo, I contributed to the setup of numerous festivals at various locations. Some notable events I participated in include A Day at the Park, Awakenings, Verknipt, Masters of Hardcore, Harmony of Hardcore, Dominator, Lakedance, Drift, Fortarock, and Q-base. Each festival presented unique challenges and opportunities, and it was an honor to be part of these extraordinary projects.

Part of my work took place at the Nijmegen location, where I collaborated with a talented team of colleagues. Here, I focused on prefab work, preparing the necessary decor elements and ensuring efficient setups at the festival venues. The teamwork and collaboration were essential in bringing the festivals' visions to life.

I also gained hands-on experience in building festival decorations on-site. This task often involved heavy, manual labor, sometimes requiring work at great heights while wearing harnesses. These physical challenges not only tested my stamina but also honed my ability to perform under pressure in a dynamic environment.

My journey at Layhgo began as an internship, but I was fortunate to continue as an employee throughout the summer until the festival season concluded. This extension affirmed my value within the team and provided me with the opportunity to gain even more experience and expand my network in the festival industry.
